As humans, we're wired to seek happiness. We strive for it in every aspect of our lives - relationships, careers, material possessions, and more. But is this pursuit of happiness truly attainable? Or are we chasing an unattainable dream? The Bible says that God is the source of true joy and fulfillment (Psalm 16:11).
But what does it mean to find happiness in Him? Is it a feeling or an experience? Can we really be happy despite our circumstances?
We often try to find happiness by relying on ourselves or our own abilities. But this self-sufficiency is a lie. The Bible says that we're not capable of producing joy on our own (Jeremiah 2:13).
God created us with the capacity for joy, but it's only attainable through Him. We can't manufacture happiness by trying to be good enough or achieving success.
So how do we find happiness in God? It starts with a willingness to surrender our lives to Him (Romans 12:1-2). We must be willing to let go of our own attempts at self-sufficiency and trust in His goodness.
As we seek God, He begins to reveal His character and love for us. This is where true joy and fulfillment begin.
